Key Integrated Services is recruiting experienced Site Managers to support a growing programme of work across the North East of England, including projects within Defence and Justice environments. As a KEYIS Site Manager, you will oversee site delivery, coordinate trades and subcontractors, manage health and safety requirements and help ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard across operational and high-compliance sites.
Location: Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Teesside & North Yorkshire
Contract Type: Permanent

Job Objectives
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, effective and compliant delivery of works across client sites throughout the North East.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and associated trades
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and site procedures
- Coordinate works with clients, facilities management teams and other contractors
- Monitor progress against programme and communicate any issues or delays
- Carry out site inspections and maintain appropriate site records
- Ensure relevant permits, RAMS and documentation are in place before works commence
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and site presentation
- Support the management of materials, resources and access requirements
- Ensure client requirements and site-specific procedures are followed
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across all site activities
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Current SMSTS qualification
- Proven experience in a Site Manager or similar site-based management role
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements
- Experience managing trades and subcontractors
- Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities on operational sites
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain accurate site documentation and records
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Teesside and North Yorkshire as required

Desirable
- Experience working within critical, secure or high-compliance environments
- First Aid at Work
- CSCS card
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Banksman training
- Existing Defence clearance, including SC or BPSS
- Existing Justice vetting, including EL1, EL2 or CTC
Security Vetting & Clearance
A number of the client sites we support require personnel to hold appropriate security vetting or clearance before access can be granted.
Existing clearance within Defence or Justice environments would therefore be advantageous, although requirements will vary depending on the project and client site.
Approved vetting in the following areas would also be advantageous:
- Defence – SC or BPSS
- Justice – EL1, EL2 or CTC
