Site Manager – Structural Steel Installation | UK-Wide
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in primary structural steelwork to oversee installation projects across the UK.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to run a steel erection site safely, efficiently, and to programme.
The Role:
You will take full day-to-day responsibility for structural steel installation activities on site. This includes supervising steel erection teams, coordinating subcontractors, plant, materials and deliveries, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to the required quality, and in line with the programme.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, engineers, clients and other site personnel, while maintaining high standards of health & safety, organisation and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise primary structural steel installation and erection
- Coordinate steel teams, subcontractors, plant, materials and deliveries
- Monitor progress against programme and resolve issues that could impact delivery
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures
- Conduct site meetings, briefings, toolbox talks and inspections
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation
- Uphold high standards of quality, safety and site organisation
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction or structural steel
- Strong, demonstrable experience managing primary structural steelwork installation and erection
- Previous experience leading steel erection teams and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction site health & safety
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under programme pressure
- Willingness to travel and work on projects UK-wide
- Relevant qualifications/cards (SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent) desirable

Working Hours:
Approx. 07:00 – 18:00 (10–11 hour shifts)
