Finishing Site Manager – Commercial Fit-Out

Location: Manchester

Rate: £280–£320 per day (DOE)

Contract: Freelance / Contract

Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Site Manager to join a high-profile commercial fit-out project in Manchester.

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented Site Manager with a strong background in managing the final stages of commercial projects. You will be responsible for driving quality, coordinating finishing trades, managing snagging, and ensuring the project is completed to the highest standards before handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all finishing trades during the final phases of the project.
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed on programme.
  • Carry out quality inspections and maintain exceptional finishing standards.
  • Manage snagging and de-snagging through to practical completion.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and design team to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across site.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates on project completion.
  • Support commissioning and handover activities where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Site Manager on commercial fit-out projects.
  • Strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
  • Experience managing multiple finishing trades and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work to tight programmes and deadlines.
  • SMSTS.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
