Freelance Site Manager – Solar PV Project

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire
Start date: Expected 13 or 17 August
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
Rate: £300 per shift
Contract type: Freelance / Temporary
We are looking for an experienced freelance Site Manager to oversee a ground-mounted Solar PV project near Stratford-upon-Avon.
The project will involve the installation of approximately 2,500 solar panels, with several specialist subcontractors delivering the civils, mounting and electrical packages.
The successful Site Manager will act as the client’s main representative on site, coordinating the subcontractors and ensuring the works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day running of the site
- Coordinating multiple specialist subcontractors
- Managing deliveries, site access and logistics
- Reviewing RAMS and method statements
- Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Managing permits and site documentation
- Monitoring health and safety, quality and progress
- Ensuring works are completed in line with drawings and programme
- Producing daily and weekly progress reports
- Liaising directly with the client and project stakeholders
- Acting as the client’s eyes and ears on site
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager
- Previous experience on Solar PV, BESS, substation, renewable energy or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of civils, groundworks, drainage, ducting and utilities
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors
- Valid SMSTS
- Valid First Aid at Work
- Valid CSCS Manager Card, preferably Black CSCS
- Strong health and safety knowledge
- Good reporting, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to commute to Stratford-upon-Avon daily
- Available to start during August
