A well-established fit-out contractor with a strong presence across Scotland is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a high-profile CAT B office fit-out project in Glasgow City Centre. Known for delivering high-quality commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects, the business has an excellent reputation for client satisfaction and project delivery.

Your new role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a CAT B office fit-out in Glasgow City Centre. The project is due to commence with a soft start on 31st August, with works formally starting on 7th September and running through to approximately the end of January 2027. Your duties will include:

  • Managing site operations from inception through to completion
  • Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring programme deadlines are achieved
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site
  • Conducting site meetings and liaising with project stakeholders
  • Monitoring quality throughout all stages of the fit-out
  • Ensuring works are delivered on time and within project specifications

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial fit-out projects
  • Strong CAT A and CAT B fit-out experience preferred
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications
  • Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills
  • Ability to drive programmes and maintain quality standards
  • Available to start from the end of August / early September
  • Freelance experience and the ability to hit the ground running
