TGRC is partnering with a leading European construction and engineering business with a growing presence in the UK.
As the business continues to expand its portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the UK, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a large-scale solar PV project in Dundee.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
You will lead site-based activities and coordinate contractors, subcontractors and site teams, working closely with the wider project management, engineering and HSE functions to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day site management of a utility-scale solar PV project.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, site teams and construction activities.
- Ensure construction works are delivered in accordance with the project programme and agreed milestones.
- Monitor site progress, identifying delays, risks and issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Manage and coordinate site resources, plant, materials and deliveries.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved RAMS, permits and project procedures.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, environmental and quality standards across the site.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship and construction quality.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, commercial and HSE teams to resolve site issues.
- Manage subcontractor performance and ensure contractual and project requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and construction documentation.
- Lead regular site meetings and provide clear updates on progress, risks and key issues.
- Support the resolution of technical, construction and programme-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, construction standards and project requirements.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the project.

The Ideal Candidate

- Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar within utility-scale solar PV or large-scale renewable energy construction.
- Strong experience managing construction sites and subcontractors within an EPC or construction environment.
- Previous experience working on large-scale solar PV projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction programmes, site coordination and project delivery.
- Experience managing RAMS, permits, inspections and site documentation.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction HSE requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities and resolve issues effectively.
- Relevant construction or site management qualifications.
- CSCS Black Card or equivalent senior site management qualification is highly desirable.
- Willingness to be site-based in Dundee.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of site delivery and drive progress.
