About the Role

Our client is a well-established and highly respected main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across London.

They specialise in:

  • High-end residential construction and refurbishment
  • Commercial construction and fit-out
  • Luxury property renovations

Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to appoint two experienced Site Managers to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Projects

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing one of the following prestigious schemes:

  • A £6m demolition and new-build commercial/retail development.
  • An £8m refurbishment of seven luxury apartments, incorporating significant structural alterations and high-end finishes.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all on-site activities from commencement through to completion.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme and project specifications.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Managing site logistics and sequencing of works.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to senior management.
  • Resolving on-site issues efficiently to minimise delays.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring projects are completed to an exceptional standard, particularly within high-end environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager with a reputable main contractor.
  • Experience delivering high-end residential, commercial or refurbishment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural works and finishing trades.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail.

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Managers Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
