Freelance Site Manager – Fit Out & Refurbishment

Location: Stratford, London
Rate: £300 – £320 per day
Contract: Freelance
Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to work with an established construction and fit-out contractor delivering projects across the commercial, retail and hospitality sectors.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of site operations
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and trades
- Monitor progress against programme and resolve site issues
- Ensure high standards of health & safety and quality are maintained
- Carry out inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections
- Manage site logistics, deliveries and welfare
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
- Liaise with Project Managers, clients, consultants and other stakeholders
- Coordinate daily and weekly works
- Assist with project handover and close-out

Requirements
- Proven Site Manager experience within fit-out, refurbishment, retail, hospitality or commercial projects
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Asbestos Awareness
- Fire Marshal
- PASMA
- Strong subcontractor and trades management experience
- Good understanding of construction programmes, drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organisational skills

Experience with Temporary Works, IPAF or an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management would be advantageous.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking for freelance work with a contractor delivering a variety of fit-out and refurbishment projects.
Rate: £300 – £320 per day
