Site Manager – Cabling Infrastructure
Location: Holborn, London / UK & Europe
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
Job Type: Permanent
Sector: Data Centres / Commercial Buildings / Structured Cabling
TGS International Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a rapidly growing technology and infrastructure organisation delivering structured cabling projects across the UK and Europe.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Site Manager will take responsibility for the successful completion of small to medium-sized cabling projects, or elements of larger projects, within commercial buildings, offices and Data Centre environments. This is a hands-on site-based management role, overseeing supervisors and engineers while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification and in line with required quality standards.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will:
- Oversee teams of supervisors and engineers to ensure cable installations are completed to specification, on time and to required quality standards.
- Manage day-to-day site activities and coordinate project teams.
- Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Ensure H&S procedures are followed across site activities.
- Manage project stock and materials effectively.
- Order materials as required to maintain project progress.
- Compile progress reports and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Carry out quality checks on cabling installations.
- Read and understand site drawings and ensure they are updated as work progresses.
- Attend and document client meetings and ensure agreed actions are completed.
- Produce project documentation in line with company and client requirements.
- Prepare patching schedules and ensure patching works are completed on time.
- Ensure all installations are accurately documented.
- Produce Operations & Maintenance manuals where required.
- Assist with urgent installation works when necessary.
- Monitor project performance and work to maximise profitability.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience within the cabling infrastructure industry.
- Experience specifically within Data Centres and/or Commercial Buildings & Offices.
- Strong understanding of cabling installation practices.
- Experience with Cat6 / Cat6A installations.
- Understanding of cabling product sets used within the financial sector.
- Proven ability to organise and coordinate project teams.
- Experience managing and motivating engineers.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a high workload.
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge, including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and understand their requirements.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cabling Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Senior Cabling Engineer looking to take responsibility for larger teams and projects within the Data Centre and commercial infrastructure sectors.
You'll have the opportunity to work across UK and European projects, managing teams and helping deliver high-quality structured cabling installations for major clients.
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
