Site Manager – High Voltage Grid Infrastructure

Overview
An opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading energy infrastructure business, supporting the delivery of high-voltage substation projects across the UK.
The role will take responsibility for the safe, high-quality delivery of site activities across AIS and GIS projects, overseeing installation, maintenance, and commissioning works while coordinating subcontractors, clients, and wider project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day site operations and coordinate field teams and subcontractors.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of HV AIS and GIS equipment.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with technical, quality, and safety requirements.
- Act as a key site contact for clients, project teams, and product specialists.
- Identify, report, and manage technical issues and non-conformities.
- Maintain accurate site, quality, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK safety regulations, including CDM requirements.

Experience Required
- Strong hands-on experience within high-voltage substations and primary plant.
- Experience with AIS and/or GIS installation and construction.
- Previous experience leading site teams, subcontractors, and field activities.
- Good understanding of quality assurance and site safety requirements.
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds, ONC, or HND are beneficial but not essential.

Additional Requirements
This is a site-based UK role requiring extensive travel between project locations. Candidates should be comfortable spending periods away from home and working additional hours or weekends when required by project schedules.
