Role Description
The Site Manager is on a subcontractor basis, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This position oversees day-to-day site operations, including coordinating subcontractors and site teams, managing schedules, and ensuring work progresses according to project plans, quality specifications, and safety regulations. The Site Manager monitors site performance, conducts regular inspections, and addresses issues promptly to avoid delays and cost overruns. Responsibilities include managing materials and equipment deliveries, maintaining accurate site documentation, and liaising with clients, project managers, and suppliers to keep stakeholders informed. The role also involves enforcing health and safety procedures, supporting risk assessments, and promoting a safe, compliant working environment.

- Demonstrated experience in site management within construction, shopfitting, or fit-out projects, ideally in commercial or retail environments.
- Strong skills in project coordination, scheduling, and resource management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety standards, including risk assessment and compliance practices.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, with experience directing site teams and collaborating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in site documentation, reporting, and use of project management or construction software tools.
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications (e.g., SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, or equivalent), with a background in construction management or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full time in the London Area, with flexibility to respond to project needs and occasional out-of-hours requirements.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
