Site Stores Manager

We are looking for a commercially minded Site Stores Manager to lead our Manufacturing purchasing and inventory activities, ensuring critical engineering and production assets are available when needed while delivering value, efficiency and continuous improvement across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building strong supplier relationships, leading teams and driving tangible business results.
What you'll be doing
As a key member of the team, you will:
- Manage purchasing and inventory processes, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.
- Drive sourcing, tendering and competitive bidding activities for MRO expenditure, delivering best value and measurable cost savings.
- Analyse spend data and produce reports to identify opportunities, prioritise activity and support decision making.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships in line with an established supplier management framework.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and implement improvements where required.
- Manage contracts with MRO service providers, including renewals, transitions and performance management activities.
- Identify and implement innovative cost reduction opportunities through effective negotiation and supplier engagement.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, performance and service delivery.
What we're looking for
We're seeking someone who can combine strong commercial awareness with excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
You will ideally have:
- Proven purchasing, sourcing and negotiation experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and a focus on delivering value.
- Experience working with purchasing, inventory management, MRP or ERP systems.
- The ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A diligent approach and exceptional attention to detail.
- A passion for challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement.
