Location
The successful candidate for this role will be expected to travel to sites in either in either South or South West England
Job Purpose
This is an entry level role and you will be reporting to the Hub Operations Manager you will oversee daily operations and maintenance activities on a number of renewable energy assets (Wind, Solar & Storage) in a geographical area with flexibility to operate beyond that region to suit business needs. Working from home and open to travel with overnights stays as required. Support the Asset Management Team maintaining statutory, safety and quality and environmental standards. You will conduct site inspections as required and assist the Hub Operations Manager in maintaining contractual obligations.

This is an operational role requiring home working and travel to asset locations were the efficient and effective handling of tasks is paramount and will be supported by the Hub Operations Manager. This role will enhance efficiency, add value, and provide the opportunity to enter into the renewable sector. A proactive and flexible approach to working with a collaborative approach to aid efficient delivery. The ideal candidate would have a strong desire to develop the role and in turn themselves with a view to career progression.
Accountabilities
- Ensure all site tasks are carried out under the RES Site Rules, Business Management System and Wind Turbine Safety Rules. Support and training will be provided as required.
- Provide first line response to site significant defects and any emergencies in an expeditious manner to support the Site Operations Management team meet contractual obligations.
- Perform asset inspections of generating equipment, civil and site electrical systems according to an inspection schedule. Conduct contractor compliance checks and ensure their adherence to safe systems of work.
- Inform of issues and operational risks to the Hub Operations Manager promptly to avoid impacts.
- The ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. Be accountable and take responsibility for successful delivery of all tasks whilst observing the highest safety standards
- Flexibility to travel on an adhoc basis and occasionally at short notice in response to any emergent site task and open to nights away from home as required.
- Follow company defined processes and procedures and be flexible to change including asset allocation/area of responsibility
- Assist the Hub Operations Manager in ensuring each asset is compliant with all applicable regulations following company process
- General compliance and housekeeping of each site including the amenities during scheduled site presence
- Cost savings and adding value is an embedded skill

- Training will be given for the right candidate and once competencies are achieved the expectation is that you attend any refresher training required whilst also building on those competencies.

Knowledge
- Demonstrable transferable knowledge
- A basic understanding of Health & Safety and its application in the workplace.
- A basic awareness of International Standards Organisations (ISO) requirements and benefits would be an advantage but not essential.
- Proactive and motivated self-starter

- Competent with IT and Microsoft products to meet the tasks of the role. Further training may be given to develop knowledge with SCADA, communications systems, networks and the use of multiple databases and user interfaces as part of ongoing development

Qualifications
- Level 3 in a relevant subject with demonstrable transferable skills (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence
