Job Introduction

Are you looking for flexible, casual work that fits around your existing commitments? This ad-hoc role offers hours in the early morning or late afternoon, making it a great option for people with varied schedules.

We welcome applicants who enjoy working outdoors and are motivated to support the Military training environment. Landmarc provides full training and ongoing development, offering a clear pathway into a career on the Defence Training Estate.

Join our dedicated team as a Site Operative and play an important part in maintaining a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train.


Role Details

  • Salary: £13.99 per hour
  • Location: Otterburn Training Area, Otterburn, NE19 1NX
  • Shifts: Wednesday - between the hours of 07:00 - 17:00
  • Contract: Variable Hours (Minimum 8 hours per month guaranteed)
  • Rota’s: Will be provided monthly to ensure availability.

What You’ll Do

  • Cleaning tasks completed to an agreed standard
  • Grounds maintenance across the Training Estate
  • Driving and operating fleet vehicles
  • Maintaining the safety, condition and readiness of the Defence Training Estate
  • Completing handover and handback of accommodation with the relevant paperwork
  • Completing basic administration using tablets and paper-based systems

  • Basic maintenance skills
  • Clear and confident communication abilities
  • Awareness of Health & Safety protocols
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
  • A collaborative team mindset with a practical approach
  • Basic IT skills, including tablet use
  • A full manual UK driving licence
