Are you an experienced Planner looking to play a key role on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects?

We are seeking a Site Planner to join our team at Hinkley Point C. This is an exciting opportunity to support the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction activities by developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes that ensure work scopes are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role

As a Site Planner, you will be responsible for developing, operating, and monitoring contract programmes, providing accurate planning information to support project delivery and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project and contract programmes in line with project requirements.
  • Monitor progress against programme and update schedules through regular engagement with project stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate critical path deviations and potential programme risks, enabling timely corrective action.
  • Incorporate emergent works and programme changes into existing schedules.
  • Produce regular programme performance reports for clients and management.
  • Allocate estimated costs to programme activities and support programme baselining.
  • Analyse Earned Value Performance (EVP) and provide planning insight to support project controls.
  • Utilise Primavera P6 and other planning tools to maximise planning effectiveness.

Essential Skills

  • Primavera P6 proficiency
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience within the Power, Petrochemical, Process, or Heavy Industrial sectors.
  • Experience in a Planning Engineer, Assistant Planner, or Trainee Planning Engineer position.
  • Strong ability to develop feasible programmes from defined scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of the impact planning has on safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Experience of earned value analysis and project controls methodologies.
