Job Summary
Virtue Projects is seeking an experienced and motivated Project & Site Manager with strong on-site construction experience to oversee residential construction projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
This role offers a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to play a key role within an ambitious, growing, and well-respected construction company known for exceeding client expectations.

Key Skills
- Proven experience managing residential construction projects and active sites
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors effectively
- Good organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from pre-start through to practical completion
- Coordinate and manage in-house teams and subcontractors, including programme scheduling
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, designers, and consultants
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements, including site inductions, RAMS, and inspections
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and quality checks
- Manage material procurement, ordering, and deliveries to meet programme requirements
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources, identifying and resolving issues proactively
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports and site documentation
- Ensure works are delivered in line with contractual requirements and company standards
- Identify risks, manage variations, and support successful project handovers

Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing construction projects and sites
- Demonstrable experience in the direct delivery of residential construction works
- Strong knowledge of site health & safety practices and regulations
- Confident leader with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- First Aid at Work qualification (beneficial)
