Site-Based Project Manager - Structural Steel

Location: Sites across Europe

Salary: €80,000 + Car + Expenses + Living Allowance

Travel: Extensive European travel required

The Role

A market leading Structural Steel specialist is looking for an experienced Site-Based Project Manager to oversee the delivery of major structural steel projects across Europe.

This is a hands-on role, managing projects from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with clients, main contractors, site teams, subcontractors and Wall Steel's internal design, fabrication and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage structural steel projects from start to finish.
  • Oversee site erection activities, programme and project delivery.
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Liaise with clients, main contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor programme, costs, variations and project performance.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Attend site and progress meetings and provide regular project updates.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within structural steel or steel erection.
  • Strong understanding of structural steelwork and site operations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.
  • Good commercial and programme management skills.
  • Confident dealing with clients and main contractors.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
  • Able to read and understand structural steel drawings.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively across Europe.
