Key Accountabilities

  • Act as an Ambassador: Always represent DP World positively, aligning with its principles, values, and culture. Ensure the highest safety standards and adhere to DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
  • Promote Safe Working Culture: Demonstrate and explain the importance of a safe working environment. Apply these principles in daily work.
  • Project Management Leadership: Build and motivate project stakeholders and teams. Foster collaboration to meet objectives and adhere to responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Procurement Leadership: Lead efforts in procuring all upcoming project packages.
  • Collaborate with Site Program Manager: Work with the DPW Site Program Manager to review, amend, and approve payments to consultants and contractors.
  • Identify Cost Savings: Be flexible and determined to find cost savings without compromising project outcomes.
  • Technical Framework Development: Lead the development of the technical framework for project delivery. Manage tender, technical, contractual, financial, governance, and reporting activities throughout the project.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular updates on project contract matters, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Perform Assigned Duties: Carry out other related tasks as required.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a similar technical specialty.
  • Knowledge: Detailed understanding of FIDIC construction contracts.
  • Experience:
    • 8-10 years in marine or civil projects, ideally under international conditions.
    • 3-5 years as a Project Manager or Construction Manager.
    • Extensive experience in working with and leading multi-discipline teams.
    • Experience managing large-sized project management implementation teams.
    • Experience in managing civil design, construction standards, consultants, tenders, and FIDIC forms of contract.

Skills

  • Technical Management: Well-developed technical management skills and experience in similar projects.
  • Legal Understanding: Knowledge of Construction Law and logical evaluation assessment.
  • Technical Proficiency: High-level scheduling, computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD), and report writing skills.

  • Teamwork: Team approach and recognition of others.
