Job Title:
Site Quality Leader
Summary:
In this role you will lead the overall performance, compliance, and continuous improvement of the quality function at the Lostock site. As a member of the site leadership team and the global quality organization, you will provide daily operational leadership and strategic direction for site quality programs, Quality Control laboratory operations, customer quality performance, and quality management system compliance.
You will ensure the safe, compliant, and effective operation of the site Quality Control laboratories, including the testing and release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. You will drive product quality improvements, reduce customer complaints and internal defects, ensure timely and effective root cause analysis and corrective actions, and foster a customer-focused quality culture aligned with Momentive’s global quality strategy and Focus on the Customer program.
You will also serve as the primary site contact for quality-related customer inquiries, customer audits, external audits, and quality visits, while leading, coaching, and developing site quality employees and applicable QC contractors.
Responsibilities Include:
Quality Leadership
- Partner with Global Quality and site leadership to define, align, and execute site quality goals consistent with Momentive’s global quality strategy.
- Translate global quality priorities into practical site action plans that improve compliance, product quality, customer satisfaction, and quality culture.
- Review product quality trends, customer complaint data, internal defect data, and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities and prioritize resources.
- Drive a strong Focus on the Customer culture across the site by reinforcing customer impact, quality ownership, and timely issue resolution.
- Identify quality process improvement opportunities and partner with Continuous Improvement, Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality Centers of Excellence to implement sustainable solutions.
Operational Quality and Laboratory Leadership
- Lead the site Quality Control laboratory operations, including testing and release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Ensure Quality Control laboratory processes are safe, compliant, efficient, and aligned with site EHS, 5S, productivity, cost, and employee development goals.
- Oversee site quality processes including shelf-life extension, quality waivers, product and raw material disposition, and related documentation.
- Ensure timely investigation of customer complaints, internal defects, nonconforming material, and reportable quality incidents.
- Drive robust root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, verification of effectiveness, and prevention of repeat defects.
- Support Supplier Quality by ensuring vendor nonconformances are identified, documented, and submitted through the Supplier Corrective Action Request process when required.
- Escalate significant quality risks, recurring issues, or unresolved quality opportunities into the appropriate process improvement, quality, or leadership review forums for prioritization and support.

Quality Management System and Compliance
- Maintain site compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable business-required quality standards.
- Prepare for, support, and manage internal audits, external audits, certification audits, and customer audits involving the Itatiba site.
- Ensure audit findings are documented, investigated, addressed through appropriate corrective actions, and verified for effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary site interface for customer quality inquiries, quality visits, customer audits, and external quality-related requests.
- Ensure quality procedures, records, training, and site practices remain current, effective, and aligned with applicable quality system requirements.
People Leadership and Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop site quality employees, including direct reports and applicable QC contractors.
- Ensure required EHS, quality, laboratory, and compliance training is completed and effective for all site quality personnel.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability culture within the quality team and across site functions.

Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, operations Management, Quality, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience in quality, operations, manufacturing, laboratory, or technical leadership within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior people leadership experience, including leading, coaching, developing, or influencing teams.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems; experience supporting internal, external, or customer audits.
- Demonstrated experience investigating quality issues, leading root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and verifying effectiveness.
- Effective communication and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the site and across functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local site language
The following are preferred for the role
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Over 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in quality, operations, manufacturing, laboratory, or technical leadership within a manufacturing environment.
- Certified ISO 9001 internal auditor or lead auditor.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with SAP QM or similar enterprise quality management systems.
- Experience with Minitab or other statistical/data analysis tools.
- Experience managing customer audits, external audits, supplier nonconformances, or customer complaint programs

What We Offer:
- Base Pay Range: £40.800 - £59.840
- Compensation for this role will be competitive and aligned with market practices in the respective location. Actual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, and geographic location. Where applicable country-specific salary ranges will be communicated during the hiring process based on local pay transparency regulations. This role may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation. Any such incentives are governed by the terms of the Company’s applicable plans and are based on company performance and/or individual performance.
