Ion Beam Services is a fast-growing, international high-tech company with locations in France, as well as in the United States, Scotland, and Singapore. Founded in 1987, we have developed unique expertise in designing equipment and electronic components that bring nanotechnology to the semiconductor industry.
Our specialization in ion implantation covers every step from R&D to production. Through our equipment manufacturing, maintenance, and process development services, we deliver innovative solutions across the entire value chain.
Site Quality Manager
Ion Beam Services (UK) Ltd are recruiting an experienced Site Quality Manager to work initially at our site in Bathgate, Scotland then at our new site near Eurocentral (Motherwell area) from October/November.
Overview
Reporting to the Group QSE Director, the Site Quality Manager serves as the Quality lead for the Scottish site. They oversee the deployment, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, local regulatory requirements, and Group standards. Amidst the company's rapid transformation, they support teams in mastering and evolving processes while actively contributing to their digitalisation and performance.
Background:
- Higher education degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial Quality.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001 and the process-based approach.
- Experience with audits, NC/CAPA, and continuous improvement.
- Solid experience in Health and Safety.
- Language: Fluent English.

Key Skills:
- You will be accountable for the UK’s Quality Management System/ISO9001 so must have proven experience of ensuring the maintenance and compliance of a Quality Management System.
- Experience of deploying Quality requirements and standards.
- Ability to prepare for and support internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Experience of tracking audit-related actions and verifying their effectiveness.
- Able to support process owners in defining, managing, and improving their processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Ability to work with ERP/integrated management systems and document management or Quality tools.
- Ability to manage the non-conformity (NC) and CAPA processes.
- Able to identify recurring issues and contribute to their sustainable resolution.
- Participate in monitoring supplier Quality performance.
- Support organisational and process changes.
Safety / Risk Prevention
- Ability to serve as the local point of contact for the Group QSE Director regarding Safety and ensure the implementation of Group standards at the site.
- Able to lead the site's Safety initiatives, in coordination with local management and the Group QSE Director.
- Experience of identifying, assessing, and controlling risks associated with site activities.
- Ability to identify and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements applicable to the Scottish site, while ensuring alignment with Group requirements and standards.
- Strong experience of tracking incidents, accidents, hazardous situations, and near-misses, as well as associated corrective actions.
- Experience of fostering a culture of prevention and safety among the teams.
