Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Contract – Remote (Inside IR35)
Change Digital are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join a growing SRE team responsible for building the platforms, tooling and practices that underpin service reliability at scale. This is a hands-on role working across AWS environments, observability platforms and incident management tooling, helping engineering teams build and operate resilient, highly available services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and enhancing a centralised alerting and paging platform using PagerDuty, CloudWatch, EventBridge and GitLab.
- Developing and maintaining observability solutions across hundreds of AWS accounts.
- Creating Terraform modules for monitoring, alerting and SLO management.
- Managing synthetic monitoring platforms using AWS Canaries, Playwright and Uptrends.
- Supporting incident response, operational excellence and reliability best practices across engineering teams.
- Driving automation and continuous improvement to reduce operational toil.

Skills required:
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native environments.
- Solid Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise.
- Experience with observability, monitoring and incident management.
- Knowledge of SRE principles, SLOs and operational excellence practices.
- Experience supporting production systems in live environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with engineering teams.
