What you will be working on (a full job spec is available):

  • Working in a team taking real ownership of reliability, availability & performance across critical applications/production systems
  • Understanding the end-to-end flow across applications & how they support the business
  • Scaling the automation, monitoring & observability tools for high-throughput platforms
  • Investigating complex systems issues and delivering greenfield solutions
  • Driving root-cause analysis rather than simply fixing symptoms
  • Working closely with Engineers, Quants & Researchers
  • Evangelising the SRE mindset across engineering teams
  • Innovating and automating!

Ideal background:

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in SRE / Site Reliability / Platform Engineering / DevOps type position
  • A degree of 2.1 or higher/equivalent from a reputable university
  • Strong Python
  • Comfortable with testing, source control, build systems and CI/CD
  • Experience with modern infra technologies i.e. Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS
  • SQL and any database experience
  • Solid experience around Linux (CLI) & host-level TCP/IP networking
  • Personality!
