The role:
My client, an elite global Trading firm, are seeking an experienced SRE to join their team.
The ideal candidate will already have worked in an established Trading firm, be used to low latency infrastructure, and solving complex problems at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring uptime and availability of high throughput, high performance systems
- Automating menial tasks wherever possible
- Solving technically complex technical issues using out of the box thinking
- Delivering new solutions based on repetitive issues
- Evangelising the SRE mindset across the firm

Core abilities required:
- Experienced SRE, ideally stemming from a Trading background
- Proficient in Python
- Comfortable with various software development tools and SDLC practices (Testing, Source Control, Build, CI/CD and so on)
- Extensive experience working on highly performant, tuned Linux systems
- Experience working with SQL, and JavaScript is highly desirable
- Ideally stems from a Software Development background
- Ideally a degree within a relevant discipline (ideally Computer Science), or within the STEM field
