Principal Site Reliability Engineer (GCP) - London
Hybrid: 1-2 Days per week in office
Salary: £140k-£150k + bonus
UK Citizenship/Settled Status/ILR Required
I’m working with a fast-growing global SaaS company whose AI-driven data and workflow platform is used by leading organisations across international trade.
They’re hiring a Principal SRE to lead the growth of their Google Cloud estate. GCP is central to the company’s AI strategy, so this is a high-impact role with real influence over where the platform goes next.
What you’ll do
- Design, build and run scalable, secure infrastructure across GCP and AWS
- Lead greenfield builds for new applications and bring existing infrastructure onto common patterns
- Solve cross-region, cross-account and cross-cloud problems in networking, identity and data movement
- Raise GCP capability across a global SRE team through mentoring and clear documentation
- Shape technical direction through design reviews and architecture proposals

What they’re looking for
- Strong hands-on GCP experience running production workloads at scale
- Production Kubernetes, ideally GKE
- Terraform, ideally with the GCP provider
- GCP networking: VPC, load balancing, CDN
- Automation skills in Python, Go or TypeScript
- Experience on a large 24/7 SaaS platform
- A track record of mentoring and getting teams aligned on technical decisions
