Job title: Site Reliability Engineer (Production/Development)
Client: Elite FinTech Firm - tech focused run by passionate Computer Scientists
Salary: $500,000AUD + Industry Leading Bonus
A leading global investment firm is looking to grow its Site Reliability Engineering function across multiple offices. The firm operates at significant scale within fast-moving financial markets, and this team plays a central role in keeping mission-critical trading and investment infrastructure reliable, performant, and resilient.
This is a hands-on engineering role combining software and systems expertise. SREs here work across the full lifecycle of production systems from early-stage support during development through to steady-state operation partnering closely with engineering and investment teams to build applications for stability from the outset.

Responsibilities:
- Own the reliability, availability, and performance of applications in production
- Automate repetitive operational work and resolve recurring systemic issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and deliver new engineering solutions to complex technical problems
- Lead incident management, including both immediate resolution and longer-term preventative fixes
- Promote SRE best practices and standards across other engineering teams
- Understand application behaviour end-to-end, including its business context
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience with modern software development tooling and practices (testing, source control, CI/CD, build systems)
- SQL/database experience is advantageous
- Web UI experience (JavaScript, CSS, React) is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in solving hard technical problems
