Job Description

At evoke, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is all about delivering exceptional customer experiences through reliable, scalable, and high-performing technology. Operating at the heart of our betting and gaming platforms, our SRE team combines observability, automation, and engineering excellence to ensure our systems perform when it matters most. Working across operational, proactive, and engineering initiatives, you'll collaborate with development, commercial, and business teams to improve resilience, optimize performance, manage incidents, and drive innovation. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, turning insight into action, and making a measurable impact at scale, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Partner with engineering, operational, and commercial teams to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and customer experience across our betting and gaming products.
  • Lead and support major incidents through the incident command framework, helping to coordinate responses and restore services efficiently.
  • Conduct detailed postmortem investigations, identifying root causes, challenging assumptions, and driving meaningful improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Utilize observability tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and CloudWatch to monitor platform health, investigate issues, and uncover performance insights.
  • Design, execute, and analyze performance testing activities to evaluate system behavior, identify bottlenecks, and validate platform readiness.
  • Champion operational readiness, resilience, and fault-tolerance across services, ensuring systems can scale effectively to meet changing customer demand.
  • Drive automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance service reliability.
  • Promote SRE best practices throughout the organization, influencing teams through data-driven recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
