About The Role
Mitie are seeking an experienced and highly professional Site Security Manager to lead and oversee all security operations at a high-profile client site within the retail sector. This is a client-integrated role, requiring daily interaction with key stakeholders, ensuring the safety, security, and continuity of operations across the site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class security service, maintaining compliance, and fostering a strong security culture aligned with the client's expectations and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the on-site security team to deliver a proactive and effective security service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and act as the primary point of contact for all security matters.
- Ensure compliance with client policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site audits, and incident investigations.
- Coordinate incident response and crisis management procedures when required.
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and security records.
- Deliver continuous improvement across all security functions in line with evolving site and business needs.
- Develop, promote, and maintain a high standard of customer service within the team, ensuring a consistently positive customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a corporate or retail security management environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in managing client relationships at a senior level.
- Knowledge of physical security systems, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- SIA licence (Front Line or Non-Front Line) is essential.
- Relevant security or risk management qualifications are desirable.
- Proven experience in leading customer service excellence, consistently delivering exceptional standards and creating positive customer experiences.

Job Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Manager at a strategic retail client Corporate Head Office, situated in Eastleigh.
The Security Manager will manage and develop the mixed-skilled Security team in all areas of Security and maintain close working relations with clients, other stakeholders and the Security Team Leader. They will be expected to effectively manage all aspects of Security for the building and ensure that the team are working in line with site policies and procedures to a high standard by monitoring performance levels against set client KPI's. Maintain that the Client is fully briefed and updated regarding any Security related issues that arise.
Main Duties
- The Security Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of the physical security contract, all administrative and personnel matters relating to Mitie site security employees and reports to Mitie's local Operations Manager, and Senior Operations Manager.
- The Security Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcement of site security policy and procedures and ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are coherent and up to date.
- The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operation on behalf of the client. The Security manager has the responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient discharge of duties by the Security Control Room, all site manned guarding staff and is responsible for the administration of the Access Control System, and Merlin patrol system.
- Reporting – All security related incidents are relayed to the responsible person and other interested parties with an incident report to be sent within three hours of the conclusion of the event.
- The Security Manager conducts workplace investigations and controls data on behalf of the client and is responsible for administration of all manned guarding personnel matters.

What We Are Looking For
To perform the role of Security Manager, the person must:
- Have worked in the security industry for 5+ years
- Hold a current SIA front line license at a minimum of Security Guarding level.
- Hold a current SIA CCTV license (Desirable)
