📍 Location: Glasgow, UK

💰 Pay: £17.79 per hour

📅 Hours: 45 hours per week - Mon-Fri

As Site Security Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the operation, providing strong day-to-day leadership and acting as a key point of contact for our security teams and client. You’ll help create an environment where people feel supported, standards are high, and everyone has the opportunity to perform at their best.

This is more than managing a shift. You’ll take ownership of operational challenges, support and develop our security personnel, monitor service performance and ensure that our client receives a professional, consistent and responsive service around the clock.

You’ll play an important role in strengthening the relationship between Securitas and our client, working collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvement and ensuring our service reflects the values at the heart of everything we do: Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

Responsibilities

Job Description

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and support the Slough and Hayes security teams, ensuring they are well-trained, briefed, and ready to perform their duties at all times.
  • Promote and exemplify the Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Operational Management:

  • Manage scheduling, Timegate, and holiday planning up to 6 months in advance for both sites.
  • Conduct monthly site audits to ensure compliance with contract paperwork and procedures.
  • Oversee attendance management, taking action when absence trigger points are reached.

Compliance and Training:

  • Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions as required.
  • Support the development of specialist and contractual training with the Branch/Training Team.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures comply with legislative and ISO 9002 requirements.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure the security team understands and complies with all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Operational Support:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all departmental operational functions.
  • Support the Branch Manager/Deputy Branch Manager with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Able to achieve PSS/SC
  • Available for out-of-hours emergencies and escalation, including weekend
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, and part-time education during that period.
  • The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

  • Experience managing a complex and time-critical contract
  • Qualifications in security management or people management
  • NEBOSH/IOSH qualification
