Site Service Engineer
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Site Service Engineer based out of our Service Centre in Hemel, covering sites across the UK and occasionally Europe.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Service Centre Operations Manager EMEA, the Site Service Engineer’s role will be managing all aspects involved in the maintenance/installation works undertaken by the company including the managing/overseeing of equipment dispatched to site.
- Managing/overseeing equipment despatched to site
- Completing the necessary completion certificates for handover to client and carrying out witness testing and associated documentation as required
- Monitoring the works and providing reports as necessary as to project status
- Efficiently and effectively directing other employees/contractors engaged in works on behalf of the company
- Efficiently managing projects to maximise the profits of the company without compromising quality, health, safety, or the environment
- Reporting directly to the designated contracts manager
- Conforming to and complying with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company
- Interconnection/Testing/Commissioning of LV Switchgear
- Promoting the broad ownership of risk management
- Controlling hazards to health to prevent work-related ill health
- Keeping pace with change to identify and tackle new risk management challenges
- Targeting ‘zero harm’ to ultimately eliminate defects, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and pollution
- Being aware of the quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) matters related to the works in hand
- Ensuring method statements are understood, acknowledged, and followed
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of other people who may be affected by the works in hand
- Ensuring PPE is used correctly and is in good condition
- Ensuring work equipment is used correctly and is in good working order
- Ensuring work at height is carried out correctly and safely
- Implementing fire prevention measures with respect to work methods and housekeeping
- Ensuring emergency response and means of escape arrangements are maintained
- Reporting near misses and accidents to the Site Service Manager

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with a high standard of attention to detail. You must be able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurised environment and demonstrate flexibility.

- Demonstrable flexibility
- Electrician, ideally with proven knowledge and experience in LV Switchgear
- Valid Manual Handling Awareness Certificate, SSSTS cert, ESC Card, and UKATA Asbestos Awareness cert
- Willingness and eligibility to work in the UK and Europe (EU)
- Full, clean manual UK driving licence (Company vans are manual) and the legal right to work in the UK
