Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday 08:00-16:00
Salary: £47,000
Location: Leicester
We're looking for an experienced Site Services and Facilities Engineer to help keep our site running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You'll be responsible for maintaining critical utilities, facilities, and infrastructure, ensuring maximum plant uptime while supporting food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site services and facilities.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, minimizing downtime and supporting production performance.
- Maintain key utility systems including boilers, compressors, refrigeration, water treatment, effluent plant, pumps, and associated services.
- Manage contractors on site, ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements.
- Complete PPM activities, engineering records, and work orders through the CMMS system.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability, efficiency, and OEE.
- Monitor chemical and water treatment systems to ensure compliance.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and environmental performance.

About You
- Minimum 3 years' engineering experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
- Experience maintaining industrial utilities and site services.
- Strong fault-finding skills with electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience managing contractors and working with permit systems.
- Computer literate with CMMS and Microsoft Office experience.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
