What Are We Looking For?

RSE Group on behalf of RSE Controls Systems are recruiting for a Site Services Manager to support the smooth running of the site department/team and all associated site activities based in Bristol. This role will work closely with Project Managers, service engineers, clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure site works are planned, coordinated, and delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

  • Raise engineers’ job sheets, entering specified activities and budget data from awarded contracts.
  • Schedule service engineers, ensuring the most suitable engineer is allocated to each activity.
  • Carry out activity-specific cost analysis for Profit and Loss reporting.
  • Review quotes and budgets for site activities with Project Managers.
  • Manage service engineer holidays, absence, and sickness logging.
  • Compile site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Progress site access availability with clients and confirm upcoming site activities.
  • Establish clients’ hardware commissioning requirements.
  • Order and progress-chase materials required for site activities with the company buyer.
  • Manage and coordinate site emergencies and breakdowns.
  • Book service engineer accommodation, ensuring best value for money and compliance with agreed budgets.
  • Arrange site-specific delivery couriers and specialist travel arrangements, including flights, ferries, and trains.
  • Arrange specialist hire vehicles and hire equipment such as cranes, telehandlers, and other equipment where required.
  • Process, review, and submit engineers’ hours to payroll.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures relating to safety, environment, and quality, including corresponding ISO record-keeping requirements.
  • Undertake other reasonable tasks as required from time to time.

What Do You Need?

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to site emergencies or breakdowns.
  • Good understanding of safety, environmental, quality, and ISO record-keeping requirements.
  • Training will be provided both internally and through external courses.
  • Full UK Driving Licence

As part of RSE Controls Systems, GPS is an end-to-end control and automation business with full in-house facilities for design, manufacturing, and systems integration. Based in Bristol, employing a highly skilled engineering workforce, GPS manufacture motor control centres and LV switchgear; produce software for PLCs, drives, and HMI-SCADA applications; and provide site-engineering services for panel commissioning and systems integration.

As part of the wider RSE Controls Group, GPS are at the forefront of delivering solutions to a variety of markets and pride themselves on cultivating excellent relationships through innovative solutions.
