Coventry Alternative Provision Academy

Coventry Alternative Provision Academy, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT) is a Nurturing, Restorative, Sustainable, SEND-Friendly Primary Alternative Provision. We focus on creating a nurturing and restorative environment for students with diverse needs striving to make a positive impact on a child's whole development.

What is the job role?

Under the day to day supervision and direction of the leadership team, carry out duties at Coventry Alternative Provision Academy (CAPA) including janitorial, maintenance and monitoring duties and to ensure that the CAPA Centre sites are safe, well maintained, attractive and a suitable environment for the activities taking place. To drive the school minibus to collect and drop off students.

This full-time, year-round role requires flexibility to work in 37 hours depending on the school’s operational needs. This will be further discussed during interview. You will need to work flexibly at all times and may occasionally need to adjust working patterns, including mornings or split shifts, to cover holidays and absences. Annual leave may need to be taken during school holidays. The candidate should be physically fit, possess good communication skills, and be able to adapt to various situations.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with:

  • Previous experience in site maintenance, ideally on a school site is preferred, a repairs and maintenance background is required, ideally.
  • A team player who is compassionate to work in a school environment.
  • A full and clean driving licence is essential and willing to undertake Minibus Driving course as you will be required to drive the school minibus to pick up students.
