What is the job role?
Sowe Valley Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Site Services Officer to play a key role in maintaining our school environment and ensuring the safety, security and smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
Working under the direction of the Headteacher and School Business Manager, the successful candidate will undertake a range of caretaking, maintenance and cleaning duties, helping to provide a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the security and safety of the school premises
- Opening and closing the school site
- Acting as a key holder for the school
- Carrying out routine maintenance, cleaning and caretaking duties
- Undertaking minor repairs and general site upkeep
- Supporting the school's health and safety procedures
- Managing and maintaining school resources and equipment
- Providing practical support to the wider school community as required
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is enthusiastic, dependable and committed
- Has a good level of DIY and maintenance skills
- Is physically fit and able to carry out the demands of the role
- Is flexible, adaptable and able to work on their own initiative
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Is willing to take annual leave during school holiday periods
