About the role
We’re looking for an electrically trained Site Services Technician to join our Engineering team at Ashby.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician who enjoys a varied role and is looking to broaden their experience across site services, utilities and infrastructure. Previous site services experience isn't essential. If you have a strong electrical maintenance background and can demonstrate relevant transferable skills, we'd love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Site Services Manager, you'll help keep our site operating safely, reliably and efficiently. You'll use your electrical fault-finding and maintenance expertise while developing your knowledge across a wider range of site services equipment and systems.
Working closely with colleagues across the site, you'll play an important role in supporting compliance, maintaining essential services and driving continuous improvement.

What will you be doing?
- Carry out electrical maintenance and fault finding across a range of site services equipment, completing repairs, installations and planned maintenance activities
- Maintain essential site services and utilities including boilers, compressed air systems, water services, effluent systems and electrical infrastructure
- Support compliance and statutory requirements by completing inspections, maintaining accurate records and supporting fire systems, sprinklers and legionella controls
- Work collaboratively across the site with colleagues, contractors and specialist service providers to ensure equipment remains safe and reliable
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, reliability and overall site performance
We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:
- A recognised electrical qualification such as an Electrical Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 in an electrical discipline or equivalent, with 18th Edition BS7671 being highly desirable
- Strong electrical maintenance experience with practical fault-finding skills gained within manufacturing, industrial maintenance or a similar engineering environment
- A proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and respond effectively to operational challenges
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the confidence to work with colleagues, contractors and external service providers
- A willingness to learn and develop across site services, utilities and building infrastructure, supported by a practical engineering mindset
