Role Description
The Site Storeman is responsible for managing materials, tools, and equipment on-site in Hemel Hempstead, ensuring that teams have the resources needed to complete plumbing, heating, and related works efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Receiving and checking deliveries

- Organizing and securing storage areas
- Issuing materials to site operatives as required

The role involves regular liaison with project managers, supervisors, and suppliers to coordinate stock levels and support project timelines. The Site Storeman also monitors inventory usage, identifies shortages, and assists with ordering and returns in line with company procedures. This is a contract, on-site role based in Hemel Hempstead.
Qualifications
- Experience in storekeeping, warehousing, or materials management on construction or mechanical services sites.
- Competence in inventory control, including stock checks, documentation, and use of basic IT systems or stock management software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tidy, safe, and efficient storage areas.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with site teams, supervisors, and suppliers, and clear record-keeping.
- Understanding of health and safety practices, including manual handling and safe storage of tools and materials.
- Ability to work reliably with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks in a busy site environment.
- Previous experience in plumbing, heating, or construction environments is advantageous.
- Full, valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to and from the Hemel Hempstead site as required.
- Valid CSCS is a must
