The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established property maintenance contractor for an experienced Voids Supervisor to join their team in Hull.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in voids, social housing or property maintenance who is looking to take the next step in their career with a well-established contractor.
As Voids Supervisor, you will take responsibility for overseeing the delivery of void properties from start to finish, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
The Role
You will be responsible for supervising a team of trades operatives and subcontractors, managing workloads and ensuring properties are returned to the client within the required turnaround times.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising day-to-day void property works across Hull.
- Managing and coordinating trades operatives and subcontractors.
- Planning and allocating workloads to ensure efficient delivery.
- Monitoring progress and ensuring void properties are completed within agreed timescales.
- Carrying out regular site and property inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Ensuring works are completed to specification and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Monitoring productivity, workmanship and operative performance.
- Identifying additional works and ensuring these are accurately reported.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring they meet required standards.
- Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders to provide progress updates.
- Resolving issues, defects and delays quickly and effectively.
- Monitoring materials, labour and costs.
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork and systems are kept up to date.
- Supporting the Contracts Manager in achieving KPIs and contractual targets.
- Maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

About You
We are looking for an experienced Voids Supervisor who understands the demands of delivering property maintenance works within a social housing environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience supervising voids or property maintenance works.
- Experience within social housing, housing maintenance or a similar environment.
- Experience managing trades operatives and subcontractors.
- A good understanding of general building maintenance and multiple trades.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working to tight deadlines and contractual KPIs.
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and people-management skills.
- The ability to deal confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- A full UK driving licence.

Relevant qualifications such as SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH or trade-based qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
