Site Supervisor – Utility-Scale Solar

Location: South Wales
Salary: £45,000–£50,000
Employment Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the delivery team on a major utility-scale ground-mounted Solar PV project in South Wales.

You will work closely with Site Management to supervise subcontractors and daily construction activity, helping ensure works are completed safely, to programme and in line with drawings and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors and construction teams
  • Monitor works against drawings and specifications
  • Support daily construction activities and site planning
  • Carry out quality inspections
  • Maintain accurate site records and daily reports
  • Monitor materials and site deliveries
  • Identify defects and support snagging / punch-list close-out
  • Support the Site Manager with programme delivery
  • Maintain strong HSE standards across the project
  • Coordinate with wider site and project teams

Essential experience

  • Recent utility-scale ground-mounted Solar PV experience
  • Strong practical construction / site supervision background
  • Civil, Mechanical or Electrical construction experience
  • Confidence supervising subcontractors
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Qualifications / certifications

  • SSSTS
  • Gold CSCS or Gold ECS Card
  • First Aid certification

TWS / Temporary Works Supervisor experience or qualification would be advantageous. Candidates with a strong civil construction background are particularly relevant, including experience across roads, drainage, foundations, structures and enabling works.

BESS experience would also be beneficial.
