TGRC is partnering with a leading European construction and engineering business with a growing presence in the UK.
As the business continues to expand its portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the UK, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor to support the successful delivery of a large-scale solar PV project in South Wales.
The Role
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, programmes and quality standards.
You will work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, contractors, subcontractors and site teams to ensure construction activities are coordinated effectively and project milestones are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on a utility-scale solar PV project.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, site teams and construction activities.
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any delays or issues.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Carry out regular site inspections and monitor workmanship and construction standards.
- Ensure subcontractors are working in accordance with approved RAMS and project requirements.
- Support the Site Manager with daily planning, coordination and site management.
- Monitor health, safety and environmental performance across the site.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, escalating where required.
- Coordinate deliveries, plant, materials and resources to support construction activities.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and relevant project documentation.
- Liaise with engineering, project management and HSE teams to resolve technical and construction-related matters.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with relevant UK legislation, standards and project requirements.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the site.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or similar within utility-scale solar PV or renewable energy construction.
- Strong hands-on experience working on large-scale solar PV projects.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong understanding of construction activities, site coordination and project programmes.
- Good knowledge of UK HSE requirements and construction standards.
- Experience working with RAMS, permits, inspections and site documentation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Comfortable working on-site and coordinating multiple activities simultaneously.
- Relevant construction or renewable energy qualifications are advantageous.
- CSCS Black Card / relevant site management or supervisory certification is highly desirable.
- Based in or able to travel to South Wales.
- A genuine hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of site activities and drive progress.
