Site Supervisor

Location: Reading
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join Taylor Woodrow on a major embankment stabilisation project located in Sonning, Reading, on the Great Western Main Line. This is a permanent opportunity offering the chance to contribute to a significant infrastructure scheme valued at approximately £40 million.

We are looking for a motivated and safety-focused professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of this long-term project, which is expected to run for approximately 3 to 4 years. The successful candidate will work alongside project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise site operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate and manage site teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
  • Monitor project progress against agreed plans and report on performance.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications.
  • Support the delivery of works on time and within budget requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
  • Promote and uphold a positive safety culture across the site.
  • Ensure site activities are carried out in line with relevant procedures and project requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • CSCS Gold Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • COSS (Controller of Site Safety) ticket.
  • Proven experience supervising highways or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
