School Site Supervisor vacancy

Birmingham, West Mids

To start as soon as possible

Shift work schedule

Are you a skilled handyperson with a strong eye for detail, practical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping environments safe and secure?

We are looking for a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee school grounds, manage key maintenance tasks, and lead our cleaning team to maintain high standards across the site.

As a Site Supervisor, you won't just be looking after a building; you'll play a key role in creating a clean, safe, and positive environment where pupils can learn and thrive every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Security and Access: Serve as a primary keyholder, handling routine and emergency unlocking/locking of school premises and managing security procedures.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out DIY and non-specialist repairs (such as basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating) while adhering strictly to Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Team Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise our cleaning team, inspecting and recording work quality across the school.
  • Contractor and Supply Management: Sign in contractors, direct them to repair sites, monitor their work, and keep track of stock levels and caretaking supplies.
  • Grounds and General Care: Oversee heating and hot water plant operations, handle litter collection, manage waste disposal, and clear paths/entrances during severe weather events (snow, flooding).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
