Site Supervisor – Groundworks & Civils

📍 Milton Keynes / Luton / Surrey | UK-wide projects 💷 £50,000–£60,000 Permanent | £250–£300/day Freelance (CIS or Ltd) 🏗️ Up to £60k permanent or £300/day freelance — with travel and accommodation covered when working away.

Experienced in groundworks? Take ownership of your own packages, lead site teams and deliver projects that keep you challenged. Multiple opportunities across current and upcoming UK construction projects.

The Opportunity

An established specialist contractor is looking for experienced Groundworks & Civils Supervisors to deliver building groundworks across Milton Keynes, Luton, Surrey and other UK locations. You'll run smaller packages independently or work alongside Site Managers on larger schemes.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:30–17:00, with occasional weekend work at enhanced rates (premium and eligibility TBC).

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervising foundations, drainage, concrete works and external works.
  • Leading groundworks gangs, operatives and subcontractors.
  • Coordinating labour, plant, materials and daily site activities.
  • Maintaining safety, quality, productivity and programme standards.
  • Managing smaller packages independently or supporting larger site teams.

What We're Looking For

  • ✅ 5+ years' groundworks supervisory experience.
  • ✅ SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
  • ✅ Valid CSCS card.
  • ✅ Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Strong practical building groundworks knowledge. Confident managing people, subcontractors and site delivery. Flexible to travel and stay away when projects require it.

Desirable Experience

Foundations, drainage, concrete slabs, external works, enabling works or modular construction projects.
