Role Overview

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of site activities associated with the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

The role ensures that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The Site Supervisor will act as the key interface between the workforce, subcontractors, and project management team, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity objectives are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising site operatives, subcontractors, and daily construction activities.
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Delivering work packages in line with programme requirements and project schedules.
  • Monitoring workforce productivity, attendance, and site performance.
  • Conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inspections.
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinating activities between trades, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Supporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

Ideal Candidate

Skills/Experience/Attributes

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience supervising construction activities on infrastructure, industrial, or utilities projects.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications: SSSTS, CSCS Gold Supervisor Card, and IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent).
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, quality requirements, and safe systems of work.
  • Communication: Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple work activities simultaneously.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Desirable: Experience within nuclear, water treatment, utilities, process plant, or major infrastructure environments.
