Site Supervisor – Major Infrastructure Project (Contract)
📍 Alford, Lincolnshire (5 Days Onsite)
📅 9-Month Contract | Potential for Extension
🚗 Full UK Driving Licence & Vehicle Required
⚡ A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor, NEC Supervisor or Construction Supervisor to join a major UK infrastructure project overseeing critical ground investigation activities.
We're partnering with a leading infrastructure organisation to recruit a Project Supervisor to support a significant transmission and energy programme in Lincolnshire.
This role will place you at the heart of site operations, acting as the client's representative and ensuring that ground investigation works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, environmental and quality requirements.

- You'll be working on a nationally important infrastructure project, overseeing specialist ground investigation activities that are critical to future design and construction phases.
- This is a highly visible site-based role where you'll have responsibility for contractor oversight, health and safety assurance, quality monitoring, stakeholder coordination and NEC contract supervision.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring works are delivered safely while maintaining programme performance and project quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- ✅ Acting as the client's Site Supervisor for ground investigation activities.
- ✅ Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with project, safety and environmental requirements.
- ✅ Reviewing site programmes and escalating risks, delays and opportunities to project leadership.
- ✅ Conducting site safety walks, inspections and coordination meetings.
- ✅ Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- ✅ Supporting quality assurance activities, including works records, samples, testing information and contractor outputs.
- ✅ Undertaking the role of Employer's Supervisor and Engineer's Representative under NEC contracts.
- ✅ Maintaining site diaries, project records and drawing registers.
- ✅ Supporting incident, accident and near-miss investigations and reporting.
- ✅ Promoting a strong safety, health, environmental and quality culture across site teams and contractors.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Previous experience supervising site-based construction, ground investigation, survey or early works activities.
- Strong understanding of contractor management and site supervision responsibilities.
- Experience working on major infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or construction projects.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction safety requirements.
- Experience managing site risks and supporting safe project delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- NEC & Contract Knowledge
- Working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Experience acting as a Client Representative, Employer's Supervisor or similar site supervision role.
- Understanding of contractor obligations and contract compliance requirements.
- Health & Safety
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Strong SHEQ knowledge and commitment to safe delivery practices.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Highly Desirable
- ⭐ NEC4 Supervisor Accreditation.
- ⭐ Experience supervising ground investigation works including boreholes, trial pits, excavation activities and lifting operations.
- ⭐ Prior experience within transmission, utilities, energy or major infrastructure projects.
Ideal Candidate
- You'll likely have experience in site supervision and be comfortable operating independently within a live construction or infrastructure environment.
- You'll be proactive, safety-focused and confident challenging contractors where required, while building positive working relationships that help drive project success.
