Ground/Site Supervisor

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Ground/Site Supervisor for a leading multi-national Energy technology client based near Norwich.

This is an initial 6 months contract position. Start date ideally in October 2026.

Pay rate is £249.76 per day PAYE or £330.49ph Umbrella.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

The Ground Supervisor is responsible for supporting the safe, coordinated, and efficient execution of day-to-day construction activities across the site. The role will maintain a strong and visible presence in the field, ensuring that HSE requirements, housekeeping standards, work-area coordination, access arrangements, and interfaces between different trades and contractors are effectively managed. The Ground Supervisor will work closely with all company site disciplines and contractors to ensure activities are properly coordinated and executed in accordance with the priorities and directions established by the Site Manager and Construction Manager. The role is intended to provide a clear operational link between site management and the workforce, helping identify and resolve day-to-day site issues before they affect safety, quality, programme, or productivity.

Education/Experience

  • Strong practical construction-site experience.
  • Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Strong field supervision and coordination skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and trades simultaneously.
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and work interfaces.
  • Proactive approach to housekeeping and site standards.
  • Ability to identify problems early and drive practical solutions.
  • Confident but respectful communication with contractors and site personnel.
  • Ability to prioritise activities in a busy construction environment.
  • Willingness to spend a significant proportion of the working day in the field rather than solely in the site office.
  • Strong ownership mentality and willingness to follow actions through to closure.
