Criterion Capital is seeking a driven, hands-on Site Supervisor to join the team delivering a major Central London hotel development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to progress their career. You will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality hotel fit-out, working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team.

This role offers a clear and fast progression route into Site Management for the right person. We are looking for someone who is proactive, takes ownership, and wants to develop quickly within a growing construction environment.

The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with subcontractors, trades, consultants, and the Site Manager, taking ownership of allocated areas and packages of work.

You will gain exposure to the wider Site Management function, developing your skills in programme management, subcontractor coordination, quality, health & safety, and overall project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities and trades
  • Take ownership of allocated areas and ensure works progress safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and trades to maintain productivity and programme
  • Monitor progress and identify potential delays or issues
  • Assist with sequencing and coordination of works
  • Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, architects, quantity surveyors, and the wider project team
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure works meet required standards
  • Carry out site inspections, snagging, and defect prevention
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and site presentation
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Maintain accurate site records and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and statutory regulations
  • Help manage and motivate site teams, promoting a positive working environment
  • Proactively identify issues and work with the Site Manager to resolve them
  • Provide clear progress updates to the Site Manager and project team

About You

  • Minimum 1 year’s construction or fit-out site experience
  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Section Supervisor, Trainee ASM, or similar is advantageous
  • Good understanding of construction methods, sequencing, quality, and defect prevention
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident coordinating trades and subcontractors
  • Experience on residential, hotel, or commercial fit-out projects is desirable
  • Proactive, practical, and solutions-focused
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress into Site Management
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety and high site standards
  • SMSTS and First Aid qualifications
