Site Supervisor – Window Installation
Location: Wellington Street, Sheffield
Contract Duration: Approximately 18 months
Qualification: SMSTS preferred
Astraseal is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the installation of uPVC windows and associated products on a busy multi-storey construction project in Sheffield.
Although primarily a non-working supervisory role, we are looking for someone with a practical, hands-on approach who is prepared to assist with day-to-day site activities when required. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation of uPVC windows on a multi-storey construction site
- Oversee the installation of associated products, including external aluminium pressings, window fittings and cheese graters
- Coordinate and supervise site deliveries, ensuring materials are received, checked and managed efficiently
- Complete and maintain accurate QA records, including supporting photographic evidence
- Monitor installation quality and ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements and relevant health and safety procedures
- Attend site meetings throughout the working day and communicate relevant information to the installation team
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress and any issues arising
- Liaise with site management, installers, contractors and other trades to help maintain programme requirements
- Manage multiple tasks and changing priorities within a busy construction site environment
- Provide practical, hands-on support to the team when required

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced and capable site supervisor with a good understanding of construction site operations. Experience within window, façade or glazing installation would be highly advantageous.

- SMSTS qualified or preferably hold a current SMSTS certificate
- Confident supervising teams and installation activities on a busy construction site
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for day-to-day site activities
- A strong communicator who can liaise professionally with site management, contractors and installation teams
- IT literate and confident using email, recording QA information electronically and participating in Microsoft Teams meetings
- Detail-focused with a strong approach to quality assurance and record keeping
- Willing to take a hands-on approach and assist the installation team where necessary
This is an excellent opportunity to join Astraseal on a substantial approximately 18-month project in central Sheffield, taking responsibility for the day-to-day supervision, quality and coordination of our window installation works.
