Site Supervisor (Nights) - Highways Drainage
Location: M65 corridor, East Lancashire
Contract: 3-5 months
Start: Monday 26 October
Shift pattern: Night shifts
Rate: £400-£425 per shift, CIS/Umbrella
Client: Tier 1 Highways Contractor
We are looking for two experienced Site Supervisors to support a Tier 1 Highways Contractor delivering drainage works on the M65 corridor. You will oversee night-shift delivery of highways drainage activities, ensuring gangs and subcontractors work safely, productively, and in line with programme, quality, and client requirements.

Responsibilities
- Supervise direct labour, drainage gangs, and subcontractors on night shifts.
- Coordinate daily works, labour, plant, materials, and traffic-management interfaces.
- Ensure works are completed safely and in line with approved RAMS, permits, and quality standards.
- Carry out site briefings, toolbox talks, checks, and progress reporting.
- Monitor drainage installation, excavation, reinstatement, and associated highways works.
- Liaise with the Site Agent, engineers, client team, and supply chain to resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, inspections, quality paperwork, and completed works.

Requirements
- Previous Site Supervisor, General Foreman, or Works Supervisor experience on highways projects.
- Strong drainage experience, ideally including motorway or live-carriageway work.
- Comfortable supervising night-shift operations and coordinating multiple gangs.
- Valid CSCS and SSSTS or SMSTS essential.
- NRSWA, NHSS, First Aid, and relevant highways tickets would be advantageous.
