The Team
You’ll join JSM’s Power Operations team, delivering power network services for major clients. The team puts safety and good delivery first, and works closely together to solve problems on site. As a Site Supervisor, you’ll run operations at site level, keep work compliant with our safety policies and help every project land well.
Scope of Role
You’ll oversee day-to-day site operations on the activities and work streams assigned to you under the contract. You’ll make sure resources, materials, transport, plant and equipment are used efficiently and economically, and that work meets company policy, client specifications and industry standards. Your goal is simple: projects delivered incident-free, on time and within budget.
How You’ll Succeed
Running the Site
- Make sure teams have the plant, equipment and materials they need to work safely and efficiently
- Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment so they arrive on site when they’re needed
- Keep sites clean, organised and safe, meeting all regulatory and client standards
- Comply with Local Authority permit conditions and other regulatory requirements
- Keep site plans, electrical schematics and utility drawings current and accessible, carrying out site checks as required

Leading on Safety
- Promote and apply our safety and environmental policies, making sure everyone on site is trained in emergency awareness and procedures
- Help deliver site safety briefings, alerts, memos and toolbox talks
- Make sure Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) are briefed, understood and followed
- Carry out regular safety audits and make sure site-specific risk assessments are reviewed and signed off on every visit
- Keep accurate records of site activity and report any incidents
Supporting People and Clients
- Give team leaders and operatives the operational and technical support they need
- Submit timesheets and labour, plant and transport returns accurately and on time
- Coordinate with other companies and stakeholders working on the same site
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and keep clients satisfied
- Look for new methods and industry products that could improve how we work
What It Takes
- Leadership you can lead, motivate and manage teams to deliver projects successfully
- Technical knowledge solid experience of electrical or power network operations, including managing compliance with safety standards, permits and RAMS
- Communication clear written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- Problem-solving you assess situations quickly and find practical ways to keep work on track
- Organisation strong time management across multiple tasks and deadlines
- Adaptability you respond calmly when plans change on site
- Safety awareness: a strong grasp of policy and a proactive approach to keeping sites safe and compliant

Essential
- Experience engaging directly with customers and clients
Desirable
- Supervisor accreditation, or equivalent, in power or electrical network operations
- Experience of construction or site-based electrical works
