About The Opportunity
Roles of this type sit at the heart of construction delivery, overseeing the day-to-day running of active sites across London. You could be responsible for coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining quality standards throughout the build. The work could involve managing site teams, liaising with project managers and clients, and solving practical problems as they arise — with scope to demonstrate your expertise and build your reputation on significant projects.

What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Managing daily site operations, including labour scheduling, material coordination and equipment deployment
- Supervising site teams and subcontractors to ensure work meets quality, safety and programme standards
- Conducting toolbox talks, site inductions and safety briefings in line with SMSTS and health and safety requirements
- Monitoring site progress against the programme and reporting status to the project manager
- Maintaining site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets and compliance records
- Implementing and enforcing site safety protocols, including incident reporting and corrective actions
- Liaising with clients, architects and other stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve issues
- Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, planning conditions and site-specific requirements

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Construction Supervisor on medium to large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice in construction
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing subcontractor teams
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency with site documentation and basic IT systems
- First Aid at Work certification (desirable)
- Driving licence and willingness to travel within London
