The Role
We are looking for a practical and proactive Site Support Engineer to join our Engineering team at Bardney. This is a part-time, permanent role working 24 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a varied, hands-on position within a busy manufacturing environment.

This role will play an important part in maintaining our site, facilities and grounds, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and operational. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site. From general building repairs and upkeep to supporting site improvement projects, you will help create a safe, efficient and well-presented manufacturing environment for colleagues and visitors alike.
No two days will be the same. You will support the maintenance of buildings, welfare facilities, external areas and site services, whilst also assisting Engineering and Operations teams with maintenance activities, shutdowns and improvement projects. You'll work closely with colleagues across the site, providing a responsive maintenance service and helping to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

The role also plays an important part in maintaining high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and food safety. You'll be encouraged to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute ideas that help improve site appearance, reliability and efficiency.

The Candidate
We're looking for a practical and proactive individual who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You'll have previous experience within a maintenance, facilities, engineering support or manufacturing environment and be comfortable carrying out a range of general maintenance activities.
You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements, be confident using hand and power tools, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You'll be reliable, adaptable and willing to get involved wherever needed, with a positive approach and a strong work ethic.
